Ordering a Transport Card

You can order a transport card through the official website: Tallinja Card.

Types of Transport Cards Available

Malta offers several types of transport cards to suit different age groups and needs:

  • Adult Card: For individuals aged 17 to 59.
  • Child Card: For children aged 4 to 10.
  • Student Card: For those aged 11 to 16, or adults officially studying at educational institutions.
  • Gozo Card: For residents of Gozo who can confirm their place of residence.
  • Concession Card / Kartaanżjan: For individuals over 60 years old with documents issued by the Maltese government.

Costs and Requirements

  • Adults: Ordering a card costs €25.
  • Children and Pensioners: Ordering a card costs €5.
  • Card Reissue: If you need to reissue your card, the fee is €15.

To register, you will need a permanent address in Malta and proof of identity. Once your application is complete, the card will be sent to you by mail.
